February 4-5, 2012



Course Details:

Day One: (tentatively 10 hours)

  • Time management techniques on all four components
  • Maximizing the use of resources given during the DAT
  • Interactive perceptual ability instruction and problem solving techniques
  • Interactive and direct hands-on one-on-one carving techniques (using only knife, pencil-knife, pen-knife techniques)
  • Two FREE DAT Exam-style soap to use during the session (feel free to bring along extra for practice)
  • Interactive reading comprehension seminar and study strategies
  • Quick overview of techniques on Natural Science component

Day Two: (tentatively 10 hours)

  • Quick review of Day One
  • Advanced tips and tricks for all areas, focusing on PAT & carving
  • One-on-one work time to improve weak spots
  • Carving clinic
  • Bonus admission information for various school
  • Mock DAT examination with detailed scoring and feedback session
  • DAT exam-style soap included
  • Electronic constructive feedback will be given 1-2 days after Mock DAT

There will be multiple breaks in the longer abroad sessions


What you should bring to the Prep Course

  • Carving tools (blade, ruler, pencil, etc):

  • Lunch: Places to buy food on campus are relatively scarce on a weekend. Please bring a lunch. 

  • Carving Soap: Three pieces of soap are included in the course registration (two for the course and one for the Mock exam). Feel free to bring some of your own soap to the session for additional practice. You can also bring soaps you have already carved and we can provide feedback.


Please Note: Course sessions with insufficient registrants may be cancelled. Those registered for the cancelled course may choose to change their dates to a later course session or may choose a refund.

After you have registered for a course you should receive a Paypal receipt for your purchase. If you do not receive a receipt, please contact us. We will contact you in the weeks leading up to the course to tell you exact times and locations of the course as well as any other important information.

Rock The DAT is cheaper in Edmonton and Calgary because these locations are within driving distance for the course teachers. The higher registration fee of the other courses is to accommodate for traveling expenses.

We will only take PayPal payments. No exceptions shall be granted.
